Some Pictures from Dinner at Julie's House

Last week our dear friend Julie (a missionary with the Southern Baptists who attends our churh) invited EBCT to her apartment to have some dinner.  She'll be leaving in a bit to serve in a different part of Taiwan, so this was a good opportunity for us to share some good fellowship with her before she has to depart.

On the way to Julie's house...let's get ready to eat some fierce food!

Here's a glimpse of some of the food that was served, which included pulled pork sandwiches along with some vegetables (like the broccoli pictured below).  You can tell that we were really excited about devouring the delectable meal.

Here's a relatively blurry picture of everyone gathered around the food in anxious anticipation.  Julie's the lovely lady in the green shirt and blue shorts.

After we pigged out on the pulled pork, we hung out and enjoyed each others' company.

Finally, we took a grand group photo.

And that's that!

Here's a bonus picture, to illustrate what Bryan said in the last post about LONG TABLES.  May God cause the length of our monthly Lord's tables to increase as he adds more and more of those whom He saves to our church!

Brief Update

Kevin

Kevin came back to Taipei for several days during his break from military service so we some of us had dinner with him. Greg (left) could possibly be heading out late July to the military.

House Meeting

Last Sunday, we went to Kristy and Misty's (Americans who teach at an international school) apartment to have a house meeting.

Here we are on our way to the apartment.  Actually, Dina and Linda (foreground) are going to a picnic, and Jack the Assassin is going somewhere he can't tell us.  Just kidding.

Since there were no unbelievers to minister to, we had a time of sharing and singing...a LOT of singing...no seriously, we sing a lot at EBCT...more than you can imagine. Seriously.

The "theme" for this house meeting was "Americans". Leo encouraged the folks from the States to share about whatever. Here is a picture of John and me listening attentively.

Long Tables

EBCT typically eats Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch/dinner together. Everytime we sit down, we HAVE to make a REALLY long table. This isn't even the whole group, but there was no more room to add tables so we couldn't. I try to split people up in groups and get them to sit down at different tables, but that usually fails miserably.

Chili's

Once a month, the tentmakers and the Haucks get together to eat and fellowship. We tend to grab American food during these meals. :)

We plan to update more frequently and with more pictures as our time here comes to an end. Pray for us to finish strong!
